It Starts With You is a set of cards created to help supplement the Individualized Education Program process in public schools for students with Autism. These cards help bridge the gap between the school disability services and the caretaker of the student to help better prepare the student for life after high school.
This project began with thorough research on how students with Autism are treated in public schools. Then, as I continued to research, I found that there was a problem in the school system with the IEP process, so I wanted to create something that would supplement that process. After researching, I sketched out a few ideas on how this project might look, which resulted in two decks of cards.
